The US of A is, the most fearful nation on the planet.
They fear (in no particular order because the amount of fear varies with news reports);
Cuba – a small island of the coast of Florida who, by their very proximity threaten the American way of life.
Venezuela – a small country in South America rich in oil with a leader who doesn’t like the American government and says so.
China – a communist country much feared because they are more successful at capitalism than the US of A.
Uighers – a small persecuted minority in China not allowed to live in the US even temporarily.
The Taliban – Islamic fundamentalists who do not hold the same beliefs as fundamentalist Christians in the US of A.
Peace – because it would make their guns useless.
Maher Arar – a prisoner of the US of A who was sent to be tortured in Syria and who, if he was permitted to have atrial, would destroy the American security colossus.
Iran – Who has the US of A shaking in its missile bunkers because they might some day have a nuclear weapon which would upset the balance of power in the world where the US of A has thousands of nukes.
Iraq – because they might not remain American butt kissers when the money runs out.
India – because they have nukes and don’t care if the US likes it or not.
Russia – a country ruled by the kind of criminals American TV worships.
Brazil – one of the fastest growing democracies in the world that threatens to overtake the US’s position of economic leadership in the west.
Argentina – because they are good friends with Brazil and would like to have the worthless Falklands back from the impotent British.
Each other – because they know themselves well.
Drug Cartels – The criminals who have made US law enforcement agencies the laughing stock of the world.
Poverty – that the US, the world’s most powerful economic power has been unable to defeat despite decades of effort.
Schools – because they may be teaching science to impressionable children.
Democrats – because they aren’t Republicans
Republicans because they aren’t Democrats.
Banks – who actually run the country with the large corporations.
The Internet – because it grows faster than the US government can figure out ways to restrict its growth.
Anonymous – an unorganized group of computer hackers who have made the US government look pathetic in the face of their ability to access the US government’s secret files.
Wikileaks and clones- because they have proven that freedom of information is more powerful than politicians in the US of A.
Unarmed civilians – that don’t understand that, by not being armed, they are weakening the fabric of the country.
Terrorists – that Americans find under every bed.
Muslims – because radical muslims are almost as big a threat as fundamentalist American christian fascists.
Their own government – because it is more or less freely elected and is untrustworthy.
Racial diversity – because white Americans will soon be a minority.
Spanish Americans – because they actually do jobs Americans are to good to do. They hate them so much they would build a wall to keep them out because they remember the effectiveness of the Berlin wall.
Every country in the Mid East – because they are not all Christians.
Atheists – because they don’t believe in fairy tales.
Jews – because they are taking over the financial world.
Freedom – because a free people is a powerful people and Americans are losing their freedom and, by extension their power
And, Believe it or not – Canada – who despite Stephen Harpers blatant ass kissing and giveaways remains a threat to everything Americans hold dear such as for profit health care, dishonest banks and sleazy corporate leadership.
AND THEIR GOD a deity they refuse to obey despite clear instructions in the Bible about how they should live.
I may have missed something but no matter how you cut it, Americans are, despite all their power and the most colossal collective ego in the world are still afraid of their shadows.
